The challenge
Shared via Discord and WhatsApp, it was the first event organised by COPS - IIT (BHU) for freshers.
This challenge was just a fun activity that originated from me posting random brainrot.
I had just added some Easter eggs for the freshers to find, but no one did.
Moreover, Discord was quieter than Marvel movies these days, so this event was intended to fuel excitement and get people hyped for A858.
The challenge description given to freshers was -
🚨 Transmission Alert 🚨
The future has already breached our present. Our devices are no longer ours—they’ve become gateways for encrypted signals sent by those who have taken control.
Hidden deep inside our Discord, fragments of these transmissions are scattered—disguised, encoded, and waiting to be uncovered. These are not just random glitches… they are warnings from the future.
Your mission is clear:
🔍 Track down the hidden signals
🔐 Decrypt their meaning
⚡ Piece together the truth before time runs out
Only the sharpest mind will succeed. The one who deciphers it all first will not only save the present but also claim the prize waiting at the end of the hunt.

This statement was a clue for you to look deep inside the image attached with it, which had more purpose than a meme
A858 COMING SOON GUYS, if you can read this message then scream "SHIZZU" here
And you had to scream "SHIZZU" in memes channel as done by some of your friends.
Hint: the images with alt text have an alt logo with them, make a common habit to check it. If not visible, try checking your settings for Discord.

After a cat meme sent by our fellow member, we had a master piece by @Obscur3D3t3ct1v3, that gent hadst hath said

Use a Translator and don’t blow your mind,
Listen up, newbie. You've got to flip your perspective on this. Hanging around online, posting cat pics won't help you here. You're assigned to tackle A858, like Hercules fighting the Nemean lion. Otherwise, all your work will be pointless.
It was another indication to some A858, who knows what.

Its alt text had me wait for a Rick Roll.
But the fun part was dswo sc dsmusxq, Modified Caesar’s Cipher {ROT-10}

That was all for the task, and to be honest, it was fairly easy, even for someone who had tried it for the first time.
